The Cottage
The Summerhouse is situated in the grounds of Chisholme House, an eighteenth century shooting lodge now used as a Retreat Centre. The Summerhouse enjoys a private and secluded location with beautiful views over the nearby lake. You are welcome to walk in the woodland surrounding the estate. Please be aware that the cottage is in a remote location, with the nearest amenities ten miles distant in Hawick. The farm road which accesses the cottage is unsealed and rough in places, and the path to the entrance is uneven. People with mobility problems may find it difficult.
The accommodation comprises four bedrooms, two double and two single, sleeping 6 people. There is a walk-in shower room and a bathroom with bath and separate shower. Downstairs comprises a very spacious living area and kitchen/diner, with French windows leading out into the patio and garden overlooking the lake, plus a small conservatory which provides additional private space. There is a large utility room with space for coats and boots.
